Passage par la Chine

26/05/09 - 11:25 - L'argentique à l'honneur

Dominique Philippe Bonnet est initié très jeune à la photographie, et réalise ses propres tirages dès l'âge de dix ans. A partir des années 80-90 il expose dans un certain nombre de galeries à Londres, où il habite alors (ChalkFarm Gallery, Taranman Gallery, etc.) et publie dans des revues britanniques de photographie dont le prestigieux British Journal of Photography.

Il part ensuite pour un tour du monde qui durera près d'une année. Ce sont quelques photographies prises à cette occasion lors d’un passage par la Chine que nous présentons dans ce reportage.

Toutes ces images ont été réalisées en argentiques. Même si Dominique Philippe Bonnet photographie parfois en numérique, il reste profondément attaché à l'argentique et à ses mystères...

Il vit et travaille aujourd’hui à la Rochelle.
